With the new season getting underway this weekend it's an exciting time at Church Farm, with all the horses in a full routine now. Some are at different stages. We are hoping VINCESON will be our first runner around Christmas time with Chaddesley Corbett and Sheriff Hutton in mind.He will have his first piece of work this week. He doesn't take alot of getting ready and he's better fresh. One that's catching the eye at the moment is LE CROISIC.He has just started cantering and feels like he has a touch of class about him. However he may be a little fragile to train having had problems in the past. I will look forward to schooling him in the next couple of weeks. HIGH HO SHERIFF is jumping out of his skin. He goes out in the loose school most afternoons for a buck and a roll and seems happy with himself. We've had a setback with TOFFFEEPOT so she will now be having a spring campaign which is gutting for everyone involved as she would prefer soft ground but she did cope on better last season. There are still a couple of boxes available in the yard. With this seasons rules changing you can now run horses that have been running under rules just 60 days after they come out of training. We have some very good contacts so we can find some very good types to rub in points. If you are interested in having a horse with us or have any any queries please don't hesitate to contact me on 07738413579
After enjoying their summer breaks in the fields, all our horses are now back in and preparing for the season. We currently have five pointers including several new additions, one of which is High Ho Sheriff whom I bought at the Doncaster Sales. Formerly trained by Tom George, he has some decent form under rules including winning at 3 mile novice hurdle at Chepstow in December 2012. If anyone is looking for an involvement in ownership, shares (or full ownership) are available in him. I would also consider leasing him for the season. Give me a call if you are interested.
